Antonia Liguori (Loughborough University) interviewed Steve Bellis, Lecturer in Media, to discuss about challenges and opportunities of using the digital storytelling methodology in education.
Starting from the 4Cs (Critical thinking, Communication, Collaboration, Creativity), in this video they reflect on how digital storytelling can reveal and enhance these skills. What they suggest is that the flexibility of the methodology for different target groups represents the main challenge for whom is trying to understand how to use it effectively in primary education. Steve Bellis talks about his experience as teacher in a College in Wales (UK) and confirms that the 4Cs are all embedded in the digital storytelling process.
